Top ISPs to send warning letters to illegal file sharers

The six biggest Internet service providers (ISPs) are supporting a new government-backed anti-copyright theft initiative which will mean that letters will be sent to customers whose accounts have been used for illegal downloading and file-sharing. The letters will concentrate on informing customers about the law and the dangers of file-sharing rather than making specific warnings. It will also point to legal alternatives.

£750,000 worth of equipment sized as pirate DVD factory smashed

A MASSIVE pirated DVD factory in an Edinburgh house has been smashed by police who seized £750,000 worth of counterfeit goods. The haul included 5975 movie DVD's, 2300 MP3 discs, 300 video games, 868 computer software discs, 1000 blank discs and 885 pornographic DVD's.
